Reading the stories for the first time!

I am in desperate need of this ultimate comfort reading. Yes, please mash up my favorite characters from different Star Trek series and let me pretend the shows aren’t over. Yes, I WILL read every character in their actor’s voice. Thank you and good night.

This is a great collection for getting a glimpse into Japan’s history and culture from a variety of perspectives. It’s been a nice supplement to my recent obsession with Japanese movies. It is massively heavy, though, with lots of suicide, natural disaster, and WWII aftermath. I’ll return to it at some point.

Deleuze is my favorite philosopher and I’m always surprised by the power of his books when I return to them. Francis Bacon is fascinating too, especially via Deleuze. But let’s be real, you gotta be in the mood, and I haven’t made it back to this for a long while. I will no doubt return to it in the future.
