i will say everyone on the internet says this is the hardest part to get through, and that I just need to persevere so FINE ILL KEEP READING. but ughhhh i just do not care about franz or albert or even fuckin sinbad lol. hopefully it picks up soon :,)

OH! so the book is reading me! awesome! had to take a deep breath after that first chapter JESUS.

INSANE. I'm worried about this tone shift though... this BETTER BE GOOD. like ok go off little miss batman!!

I'm starting to get nervous because my hopes are climbing insanely high for this book. this book has a LOT of potential to fill.

The set up for this story has been absolutely phenomenal, I'm hooked. But what do you mean there are 1,000 MORE pages? I am growing more and more fearful of this book not being as satisfying as I am hoping for. This 1,322 page book better CONTINUE to be worth it. YOU BETTER WORK BITCH! >:(

we were ROBBED of book-Faramir!!!!!!!! i love Faramir in the movies, but he is kind of a stinker when he captures the hobbits. in the book he’s so sweet and gentle i am just absolutely in love with him.

1. i cried when sam professed his love to frodo while he watched him sleep AND THEN MADE HIM SOUP WITH HERBS HE FORAGED?? HIMSELF?? this chapter was so tender; the hobbits finding rest in the gardens of gondor, sam and gollum bantering about food, sam caring for his dear “friend”— this chapter is def one of my favorites i’ve read in this series:,)

2. I SQUEALED WHEN FARAMIR ARRIVED HEHE HEYYYY ILY

the introduction to the edition im reading is like 40 pages long and it’s SO. GOOD.

also i have a playlist of angry Vivaldi that i listen to while reading this and it literally has been so perfect for the vibe of this angry ass book. FIREEE.

ALSOOOO the edition i have is a used copy, and the previous baddie taped cute bugs all over the cover and i am quite obsessed.
