A quarter in, and I feel like it’s so slow. I’m not hooked in or vested in the characters or story.

Another one of the books I’ve had forever and never read. Finally started.

I’d been thinking about this series and wanted to reread. Today I decided I’d listen while I bike.

Sad. Sweet.

Book it made me of: Variation, by Rebecca Yarros

Listening during our walks. I heard Viola say “Lola” and looked up the author, and she is of Filipino descent.

Also I love a Shakespearean riff, not quite the cute and fun set-up as in “She’s the Man”… FMC is at the moment is a tad unlikeable.

My current listen-while-walking-with-the-boys read. I like Lewis Pullman as a narrator!

what the heck? married women really need to learn a thing or two from the lessons teresa giudice (from the real housewives of nj, lol) learned the very hard way in her first marriage.

Coincidentally, 9 of the last 19 books I’ve read (or are currently reading) have been set in either Princess Edward Island, or Massachusetts (mostly Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard).

I started thinking, "oh man, this rich man is going to leave his stay-at-home wife high and dry"... but now I'm thinking, "oh ok, she comes from MONEY." This is gonna get very nasty. Yikes.

Oh creepy.

I watched the trailer for the upcoming movie ao I can put some faces to names, and wow. That movie is not what I pictured at all from this book at all.

I think this is the 3rd book I've read from Rebecca Yarros, and I've noticed a pattern in all three: FMC who adores her sister(s) and has (emotionally) absent/unsupportive/self-involved parents.

Ok, so I’m already loving this book. I think because the last book I read felt so lacking in depth, this feels so rich. I ended up looking up more books by this author and it turns out this is a prequel/sequel in a way? So I decided to pause midway and read the first book. Luckily there was no wait for that loan.

The only hold I have available since I finished TLH quickly.
