This book is bringing up a lot of feelings. While it’s not quite comparable, I witnessed my mom run over my cat and I still harbor a lot of trauma over it. He lived such a long and wonderful life…to have it end that way was so unfair. I was so mad at my mom for so long. I wonder if she ever thinks about it. I still have nightmares of that day.
