All's Well That Ends Well: após tanta comédia, finalmente apanhamos outro romance realmente mal-amanhado, em que uma das partes tem de ser forçada e enganada a casar a outra. Uma boa mudança de paladar que mantém-se distinta do Taming Of The Shrew.
Melhores falas: "My eyes smell onions. I shall weep anon" e, das meditações sobre a virgindade, "He who hangs himself is a virgin" que é linda fora de contexto.

As You Like It: realmente gostei bastante.

O melhor momento foi ganho pela Beatrice com "God, that I were a man! I would eat his heart in the market-place"

Tem muitos bons momentos como "If this were play'd upon a stage now, I could condemn it as an improbable fiction" ou bêbados a usarem "good and valiant" da mesma maneira que "based" e ironicamente.

Pericles, Prince of Tyre: essencialmente As Aventuras Bizarras Do Príncipe Pericles E Da Sua Família.

Frase favorita: "There is no more mercy in him than there is milk in a male tiger."

Recomendo ler imediatamente antes a Antony & Cleopatra.

Ri-me com a introdução do estilo:

Contém a famosa linha "What, you egg? [stabs him]" que me tirou do sério.

Hamlet: truly a masterpiece, even if some of the mystery in the beginning is ruined if you ever watched The Lion King. Shakespeare's word play really shines in this work. However, after reading so many of his plays, everything starts to look like innuendo. Actually, that's probably what it really is.

King Lear: If on the very first scene the king is already asking which of his daughters loves him most, you know it's gonna end badly. Seriously you could almost make a bingo out of everyone who dies. Best stage direction award goes to "Enter Lear, fantastically dressed in weeds"

Othello: this one was ruined by spoilers because this play can be summarised in a sentence; a lot of it is unremarkable setting up. Also, multiple times we get stage directions for a character dying and then they have a bunch more lines. Which works if they're bleeding to death but not when they're CHOKED.

Antony & Cleopatra: Antony wasn't good at healthy relationships and being faithful but Cleopatra was the one playing hot and cold, always pushing him down the stairs then covering her crimes with sweet words and gestures until he gets stuck for good at the bottom. Everyone is really into suicide and how noble it is to kill yourself. Cleopatra makes a snake suck her tiddy.

King Henry VIII: After the whole War of the Roses affair, this play was much more tame. Mostly politics and a clergyman gone bad. On the other hand, things were resolved in a relatively nice way, no tragic deaths nor cycles of revenge.

King Richard III:
It's not every day that you get a villain as a protagonist. Richard is an absolute menace throughout the play, mistrusting and killing everyone around him, even those who've helped him. He even somehow convinces the daughter of one he killed to marry him! Eventually karma gets to him and we finally see the resolution of the War of the Roses, with York and Lancaster uniting after defeating Richard.

King Henry The Sixth (full):

The story of England's losses after Henry V's death.
The 1st part is about the end of the 100 Years' War and Jeanne d'Arc gets shat on a lot.
The 2 other parts were much more interesting since they revolved around treasons and schemes by a multitude of parties to depose Henry VI, including the War of the Roses. Gets a bit confusing with all the recycled names sometimes.

Taming of the Shrew: I'd heard of this one in a fanfic before and now I understand why it was used there. The initial setting is funny but the play within the play has a kind of humour that isn't for me. Meh 🤷

He makes a vague allusion to Quidditch without naming it and then has the gall to start the next sentence with "Quid itching to flee pockets and purses". I had to reread it multiple times to not read it as 'quidditching'
