Barbara is finished with A Fire Sparkling

Book Club Choice for January 2020. Interesting and well written Historical Fiction. The British people had tremendous fear and hardships during WW2, and the descriptions in this book were quite descriptive. I cannot even imagine how the families survived and how they triumphed.

Great read about these wonderful creatures. The closest you can get to a wild animal. Makes me want to book a vacation to the English countryside and go searching and observing on a starry night v

I didn't know... Why do we continue with wars? Lesson: no one is safe when your country is invaded. Not teachers, doctors, educated, wealthy, or poor. I learned much, and this book changed my thoughts and opinions. You cannot judge another person's courage.

Lots of secrets. I love all the characters. Have to keep reading, since plots and story lines are happening faster and puling me in. 1900, 1913, 1976, 2003.

Barbara is on page 300 of 408 of The Birth House

I'll finish this tonight. I do love the time period, early 1900's, and since the location was Nova Scotia I did quite a bit google maps to visual the area. I seem to prefer stories that are of places North of where I live (except for GWTW).
