this book is really interesting but seems never ending.. maybe because i’m reading on kindle?

that being said, author’s love of using the n-word in the book is weird and doesn’t sit completely right with me..

really interesting but sometimes it feels very cliche.. at times it reads like every monologue you heard in a dalston bar performed by a person with microbangs and whimsical blue light glasses… slightly disappointing because I LOVED cultish. Still an important read tho.

aaa!!! so easy to read and really easy to follow! I love the writing too. My only issue really is that I hate every single character (besides Henry), which makes the book feel constantly disappointing. I understand that that was the idea but it’s just so miserable at times… Would recommend it though, although maybe not if you are not in a good place mentally (similar to play it as it lays in that way).

ugh so far rlly cannot be bothered w this!!! i only started it bc of the spotify audiobooks but boo hoo it seems so boring and just completely bland… but tbf maybe its an audiobook problem?! maybe i just have an issue w audiobooks - idk yet! but it’s a part of my keeping up w/ recent publications mission so i hope it’s not too disappointing…

omfg she goes to therapy AFYER divorcing her husband (he never confirms that he wants to be there) but she gets there earlier to manipulate the therapist to side w/ her and congratulates herself on having boundaries (lying to her therapist)… god fucking burn this book pls

omg it does get worse‼️‼️‼️ the scene in the thrift shop is painful… like the woman is just doing her job, her not wanting ur dirty clothes is not a personal attack 🥲🥲 i ac dk if i can take this anymore

decided for read bc I LOVED the cover (bad reason ik..) and the title. had no clue what this book is about going into it and tbh shld have researched. im glad i didnt pay for it bc it’s HORRID so far. first few chapters were funny n it’s definitely an easy read but god is it miserable…. listening to her narration is exhausting and so frustrating… instead of tinder she shld get betterhelp or something!!

disappointed so far!! knowing what happens w glossier in 2021 i kinda hoped that the author wouldn’t be so personally close w/ weiss… considering she got pushed out as CEO bc of racism, i feel like the book should have been written by someone unbiased 🤕🤕! but still love the cover
