Loving it so far. just got to the part where they get new bodies. interesting development, I wonder if they deal with the fact that the old self is actually killed and not just transfered, cause that is what it feels like to me.

I love Louie L'Amour so I am going to start this book off with a 5 star rating and see if I change my mind. His writing is lucid and mature, great historical elements are thrown in for good measure, and most of all the stories are fantastic and captivating. westerns may seem old fashion noe, but they still resonate when they are well done. I am no hick, and I still love this genre.

Finished it. I have to say that with all its flaws, and it is flawed, I still loved it. Original concept in telling the story of an interstellar war.

Really like it so far...in every way. The comparison to Doctor Who (especially the 11th Doctor) are quite pertinent.

I have read the first two short stories in this book, and I love this author's style. He tells a simple story that keeps you engaged. He does not waste alot of time in over development of a character, he allows their dialog to help the reader develop the image of the inner working of a character. In that way you feel like a fly on the wall rather than a worm in the head of the characters.

cool grosome horror bits. metaphysical stuff driving the observer crazy and making them suicidal.

there have been very few books recently that I've been compelled to read daily; this is one of them.

Things have really started to move along now that Mona has been put on the case to solve the mystery. More backstory to the mysterious characters, more spooky sci-fi stuff, and the mystery deepens

I like the mystery element to this book. it is a detective sci-fi story with some horror thrown in.

The story keeps getting more suspenseful as more characters are introduced.

I love the pace at which the mystery is evolved and subsequently revealed. There are slowly revealed plot elements which are first suggested and then confirmed...but never...ever...in a hard handed or overwhelming way. I neverfelt that the reveal came out of thin air nor did it cause a disruption in the flow of the narrative.
