I enjoyed the previous book by this author but this one is sooooo tedious; it’s trying to be sci fi more than romance but the sci fi is kind of trite and not unique enough to carry the book along. the romance is compelling on paper but in practice it isn’t paced in a very interesting way and it feels so… unsexy lol.

I’m enjoying this series but i wish the worldbuilding was less sparse. Like… nothing feels unique and fully formed. It’s impossible to imagine what’s happening off the page.

Bob-read audiobook is great

Not this book having a textbook women in fridges, then subverting it for about 5 pages, then immediately destroying the fridged character’s mind and leaving her a shell of her former self after being tortured for half the book!!!!!! worst end ever!!!!! I’ve been reading this for like three weeks now and i’m pissed!!!
