Predictable, thin, Ian not fleshed out. Annoying flashbacks and flash forward device to strengthen weak writing.

Writing style is clunky but heartfelt. Too many tangents that don’t fit, like mother in nursing home and horse riding.

The parents are clumsily written

Beautiful descriptions of sex! Complex characters written slowly. Timing of parents’ gala really off. The flow is bumpy but I have stayed engaged.
