what a strange book

the pages fly in this book! we even had some action! I want more backstory and drama! the sex scenes are so bad!!!

challenging myself to finish this monster of a book by next wednesday. that means roughly 82 pages a day for 7 days. i can do this!!!

I'm sorry, is the entire second half of this book solely told with figurative language? I vibed with the writing in the beginning, but it is so flowery right now. I refuse to believe their sex life is that astounding.

i picked this up without any idea what it was about and just now read the blurb at 40%. Not the direction I thought this was going to go but maybe if I read the blurb earlier it would have made sense.

police man has never heard the name Aubrey before? Even if I had never heard it before, I wouldn't have the same reaction as he did. He acted like her name was 'Forehead' or something actually weird

this book is really long, but I am not having a bad time? i feel like this should win the booker just for the effort it takes to read all 688 pages.
