I just loved and might have swooned a little when LJ said he reported all those comments... like wow, soft fictional men are going to end me, I just KNOW that, too.

This man is a disappointment, how could he lose the fight just to protect Grace and then throw it in her face so she wouldn't leave him, tell her he loved her only when he knew it would make her stay? I don't like him at all.

This author would be really amazing, if only she didn't feel the need to fatshame or slutshame her secondary characters. If you want to portrait a bad teacher, do it, you can even have him being fat, but is there really all that urge to shame him for his body? Your readers aren't perfectly fit people only, you could hurt someone.
