I was wondering if this book was going to talk about how tech billionaires misinterpret science fiction, and it turns out the whole last chapter is about that! These dudes have no media literacy skills.

This book is incredibly informative, but reading nonfiction is a double-edged sword because it also makes me so mad. Like I can't believe how terrible some people in this world are. I already thought very negatively about the tech industry when I started this book, but it is somehow SO MUCH WORSE than I ever thought! The racism and eugenics some tech leaders spout are unbelievable.

Take a shot every time a tech bro incorrectly calls something "inevitable."

Ran out of audiobook listening hours on Spotify while reading this 😭 Very tempted to buy more hours so I can finish...

This book is really interesting so far! I'm learning so much about both the history of Superman and of the KKK. I also just find it so fascinating how fictional stories have played such a large role in dictating how much influence the KKK has in the US.

Ok, this has gone completely off the rails (derogatory)...

This book is way too predictable. I fear I've known where this has been going from the start.

I listened to this audiobook while going on a walk for the 4-D experience.

I had no idea when I picked this up that Vigilante is in this, and I just can't believe this is the character that inspired Adrian Chase in Peacemaker because they are absolutely nothing alike! I prefer the fun Peacemaker version though honestly.

I guess I should've expected a book about radium to detail the symptoms of radium poisoning, but man, the details are way worse than I expected. This book is not for people sensitive to medical gore.

Gollum's backstory is surprisingly tragic. Nearly had me in tears.

I feel like listening to this on audio is the only way to go so you can hear Andy Serkis sing all the silly songs. This is a musical in book form. Naturally, I'm loving it.

Ok, the new audiobook narrated by Rosamund Pike is FANTASTIC. I love her voice so much. She's so talented.

This book is good so far, but it's just so LONG!

Does Sarah J. Maas ever use the words "woman" and "man"? Does she have something against them? Because I can't figure out for the life of me why she uses the words "male" and "female" so much. She does realize there are other words to describe gender with, right?
