I don't see why this book is so highly acclaimed and regarded. It's more religiously themed than the Chronicles of Narnia, blatantly so, and hasn't really grabbed me. I'm almost done with it so I'm sure I'll at least finish it, but there isn't even the pretense of a thin veil in terms of its overt Christian theme.

Pretty decent fantasy so far, and I do like the idea of turning the genre on it's head by supposing what a world would look like if the bad guy had won. I also like the allomancy magic system, good mix between alchemy and vancian.
