Two chapters in and I can tell this book will be difficult to get through. Author has a huge chip on his shoulder, contradicts himself, and used his other articles as his citation material. Gridley also seems to have a hugely inflated sense of importance

Fascinating. While fairly dense, it is broken up into snapshots written in the perspective of each important player in the story (theres a HUGE list of characters at the beginning of the book and flipping back and forth to refresh your memory is enormously helpful.). So far the story is engaging, beautiful, brutal, and deep. Slightly difficult to get into, but it seems like it starts rolling once it gets going.

Not something to read lightly, I may have to wait until I get a nice break from classes to really dip into this one.
