Can't put it down, don't want it to be over

A lot of characters have been introduced and I'm a little overwhelmed. But BISBEE!

It would be difficult to overstate how much I dislike every single character in this book. WHY AM I FINISHING IT

Barely three chapters in and (in my opinion) the hero has already exhausted his allotted uses of the word "chit" to describe a woman.

I so want to like this, but I'm having a hard time with it. So far it works better as a mystery than a romance. I just don't like a pushy hero! Waiting to be convinced.

I'm really struggling with this one -- the prose is so clunky, but I want to believe it will get better...

Tearing through this. West never fails to get me fired up and helpless with laughter, sometimes on the same page.

I read somewhere that this is "like Oliver Sacks, but with psychotherapy" and picked it up based on that -- but I'm underwhelmed so far. The author's enormous ego coupled with his apparent distaste for fat and old people is off-putting, to put it mildly. And I'm only halfway through the first of ten patients!

Stiff, occasionably laughable prose, normally a dealbreaker, hasn't made me put this down yet. It's just too goshdarn scary and I have to keep reading!

Really interesting, but much more scholarly than I was expecting. It's not really vacation reading, so I'm taking a break for a couple of weeks!

That sinking feeling when you go to change audiobook discs and drop the one you need into the passenger seat footwell, but you're on the freeway and you have to go a whole six or seven minutes before you get to a stop light and you can retrieve it.

This would be less of a problem if the audiobook in question weren't so dang good.

Home stretch! I'm really going to miss this completely bonkers book.

The euphemisms are pretty cringeworthy (and this is coming from someone who reads romance) but otherwise this is unputdownable! I really like the supernatural element.

Just realized this is a sequel. so I'm going to put it on hiatus and read the first one first...

I hate to skip a book in the middle of a series, but this is not holding my interest... :/

JUST discovered that a sequel is coming out in October! I'm so relieved. Definitely not ready to be done with these characters.

I'm waiting for this to grab me and it's running out of time!

Can't put it down!

I don't love all of the authors represented here, but Alyssa Cole's offering is so worth the wait. And I think I'm going to finally read one of Piper Huguley's full-length novels next.

I keep catching myself thinking I'm reading an Anne Tyler book (which is totally a compliment).

YOU'RE LOSING ME AGAIN, MR. CRONIN

I've been impatient off and on with this final volume in the trilogy, but now that the end is in sight I'm not sure I'm ready to say goodbye...

Folding down a lot of page corners on this one...

I guess it's a testament to Foster's rather dazzling prose that I'm only now realizing how sanctimonious and self-congratulatory this book is.
