This is a bit of a slog. While I am interested in the topic, I feel Drucker is having a hard time keeping the big picture in mind as she lays out the alphabet's origins....

Good so far, the summary of human evolution and social adaptation has been very interesting and convincing, but I a little alarmed by Wilson's claim (which appears to be in contradiction others I've read) that significant evolutionary adaptation could have occurred in recent human history...will read on and see where this goes...

so much re-reading for classes these days...it's hard to have a book going for pleasure...

a little crazed having all my books packed for a move later this week...feel like I can't start anything...
