There are a lot of people who don't like the Old Testament and say God is a 'god of destruction,' or 'mean,' or somehow.
Context is imperative. Some research is needed to see what was happening in the time this book of Zephaniah was written. How were people living? How were nations treating each other? It was incredibly brutal. Just look into the practices of those who worshipped molek.

I took a chance on this as it was only .99 cents on Kindle. I didn't think I'd like it, to be honest. But so far, it's been pretty good.

I'm slowly meandering through this letter of Paul. It's deep. I'm trying to marinate in what it's trying to say. It's been a rather long process, but that's ok

Listening to the audio book of this... Struggling to get into it. I really only like Miss Marple...The rest of the characters are kinda pretentious.

Halfway through & I'm thinking about quitting this one. The main character is well, she is too pretentious. A woke justice warrior tale where Scottish men are bad, & she is the harbinger of all that is wholesome in the world. Im ALL for a strong female lead, but not all of the Scottish people are racists. All men are not misogynistic. Not all religious people are bigoted & without compassion. It's just a bit much

Blowing my mind!!! Listening to the audio with tons of extras between David & the Narrators...soooo good!

Not that good, & I'm trying to figure out if I'll just give up at this point. The usual lazy troupes of woke politics flood this story way too much.

At first I rejected David's content because of his demeanor when I saw clips of him on Joe Rogan's podcast... but now I'm very open to what he has to say.

War is terrible! I have nothing but the upmost respect for the soldiers who have to endure hell on Earth, and I have nothing but utter disdain for the politicians who willingly send other people's innocent children into that hell.

Once again the murder victim is someone you really kinda hate, but I'm really enjoying this so far...

Reading this with my 7 year old son & he loves it! So I love it too!

I am a huge Poirot fan boy for sure! However, It's taken me a while to get through this one. I don't know why, I've just struggled to "connect with it." I think it's my real life stress creeping into my essential escapism.

With 25 pages remaining the Belgian Detective says this:

"I want to arrange a meeting here. It will not, I think, be difficult...”

It's been rather slow going on this one for me...
