Interesting after I got over the whole vampire setup. I almost put it down thinking it was a fantasy horror romance kind of book but it isn't. Spoiler: No vampires. I was not aware how easily morphine and heroin were acquired at the turn of the 20th century. Just ordinary street drugs. Look where we are today.

wonkagranny is reading Until I Met Her (Emma Fern, #1)

If Mary Shelley and Edgar Allen Poe had a baby she would be Emma Fern. The first part of this story is about a monster who kills her creator. Then as she gets away with it she feels the tell-tale heart of her victim. There are NO likeable characters in this novel. Each of them is narsasistic and manipulative. AND it is a great read. I could hardly wait to find out if these characters got their just desserts. Fun.
