Was really challenging to want to get into this book for the first 200 pages and skipped a few pages where it continued to lament hunger and sadness at being forgotten. The point was too laboured but as soon as Henry remembered?! I’m hooked.

The detailed in depth descriptions of the drawing of the cathedral, the navigational directions of the walking along the east wall towards the bishops palace that was in the south-west of the city and made his way to the north of the nave on the west of the aisle is driving me to boredom!

This book was a strong recommendation from my cousin Brad and I love a book recommendation! I don’t often get them and they are books that sound like my type of read so I’m excited about the 1091 page book!

I could feel the nerves in my stomach when he was opening the crypt and knew it wouldn’t be there. I literally felt emotion.Nervousness. I hate that I feel for the guy. I do.

Paullina is so smart and makes everything so interesting and not like she’s an author but like she’s retelling a true story. I truly believe in her characters. She creates people as opposed to describing them. Again the questions the people ask I want to ask! The Saints spit is amazing and what it consists of “kaolin clay,sphagnum moss,wood ash,dried oxblood,copper sulphate,saltpeter” amazing!

Oh it’s good! I’m invested in the team, the men, the mission, the plot and the story so far.

So far it’s like watching a great action war movie. Not much love or romance but it’s so entertaining. Her characters are so cool and real and adult.
