I’m at 90% of the book and I prolly can’t finish it tonight but I’m in a turmoil over what’s going on in these pages. What’s happening! What’s going on! I’m in a swirl of fear and every other paragraph’s jaw dropping! So many things I did not expect…

Ok I just started this and how foolish it is to start late at night. Nope. This book is def for during daylight time!!

My kindle says I’m at 82% of the book and I just had to shut it cuz the drama has been climbing, creacendoing into something so horrible and I can’t read it tonight.

Started a bit slowly with too many characters but suddenly, it’s all coming alive. I feel like I’m in Italy and it’s starting to envelope me

I dunno what to say. It’s super historically fascinating...can’t put it down but not sure if it’s truly factual?!?! Confused...yet fascinated!!!!

So I just read joan acocella's review of the book in this week's nyer. PRETTY hilz! Good text esp she reviews 2 new translations of inferno. Tee hee.

this book is a contradiction in readership as one can absorb DeYoung in a quick second yet takes days to absorb the actual meaning. i'm going at a snail's pace while speed-reading.

Ooohhh boy -- I'm almost there!!! AND I'm gonna go & revisit the statues at the met this week to contemplate what I've "learned" from this book. Very exciting!

A bit slow in the beginning but really picked up. I'm in the middle of upper UK but suddenly, this book is making me dream of Italy. When I get back to NYC, I will dash to the Met to live through some sculptures! I feel like I'm taking a sculpture class!!!
