Interesting romance job being the decorator for business displays

The amount of times weight & eating too much have been mentioned could be a drinking game! wtf was happening in the 1980s

Dara’s work chapters are hard to keep up with. I like when characters have interesting jobs but this is a lot of info

So much drama

Very messy women

It sucks when you outgrow an author.

Eerily timely. With SA and predators in the media now with the Cornell case.

Her name is Jolene and her fatphobic husband calls her Fat Joe (like the rapper)! That is horrific 😭

Also kudos to the author because fat phobia is real and I’m having a hard time thinking of a thriller character I’ve read before that was fat or plus size…

Spoiler ✨✨✨

This scene is disgusting! He lured her there so other gross men could access her 🤢

Mutual masterbation scene? OKAY EMMY G 🔥

Can we retire wet heat? 🤔

“You agreed to one night. Not one time. Until the sun rises, Princess, you’re mine.”

why are we rehashing everything?!?

Harlequin Historical Her Royal Houseguest was not good! 🙃 DNF 40%

An anticipated read of mine but I found the story to be boring. That’s what I get for letting the cover persuade me. Hopefully others will enjoy but not for me. I need to cool it on Regency.

the pacing slowing down

This lakeside B&B sounds creepy! What do you mean you found a drawing of a woman drowning herself? Wtf.

“I asked the dead if they had a place prepared for me.”

Skinny jeans? What year is this 🤭

Shot his father in the chest at 4 years old? This man had a dark past…

It’s getting creepy now

I’m really liking the first person. Don’t feel as bogged down by the internal monologues, however the chapters are shorter…

Enjoying this so far ☺️

One pet peeve about the new covers is the lack of time and place. The way the female is dressed on the cover You would think it’s a warm climate. Several times in this book they talk about cold and down jackets. I miss when the covers would convey seasons.

I wonder if we can age out of the romance genre? I still read it and most likely always will but it’s just not the same to me. Is it the current authors or have I just read too many? Or, have I become jaded in life that romance isn’t the be all end all it used to be? Even romantic movies aren’t the same.

Just thoughts I have had lately.
