Historical is all well and good until you come across a gross fact. In the 1920s at a hotel, the bathroom is shared by everyone and at the end of the hallway 🤢

“ in my younger days, I’ve been referred to as something of a rake.” not in 1999 you weren’t. I don’t think anyone has been called a rake since the 19th century!

A book published in 1999 and the heroine is uncomfortable about people going to hotels who are not married to each other. What year is this author from? 😂

Hmm never occurred to me about enslaved accents affecting British accents. Is the American accent a combination of the two? 🤔

I have no interest in a 500+ page contemporary romance. I think the reason I love the category or Harelquins is how quick they are. Maybe it's a sign I'm aging, but romance characters get whiny and annoying if the book is long.

Are books too dang long or is it my ADHD? 🙃
