i don‘t understand what the hell is going on

i read christiane f as a kid and this is reawakening that trauma inside me

i think this book is doing to me what „a little life“ did to the people who loved it. do with that what you will.

feels kind of like „tschick“. which means - so far - addictive and with the potential to destroy me

i can‘t stop reading but god this book is making me anxious

listen, this book is all kinds of fucked up and it hasn‘t mattered for 280 pages but ethan just said „i realized i still haven‘t had an italian pasta dish“ and then got fettucine alfredo and garlic bread in NAPLES and like… horrendous

i hate how little time i have to read, who made august this busy??? 😫

i have some issues with the pacing slash progression of their physical relationship but other than that i guess i gotta concede the carley fortune hype too. bracing myself for impact now.

progress report: almost everything about this is chef‘s kiss - the slow burn, the emotional connection, the hotness factor!!! i will say i‘m not here for self-flagellation and dogs as a plot device but can definitely overlook that for the general fun factor of this.

i can‘t even tell you how many times this book has made me tear up already and with only the simple, wonderful power of community.

i‘m listening to this on 1.4x speed, these guys have already been hooking up for the past 3 hours and there are still 2 hours left in this book. i mean, it‘s still kinda fun but MAN these are way too long

JACOB MORGAN has hands down the hottest voice like i don‘t even mind his girly voice, i‘d listen to him narrate this all by himself happily, he should narrate every romance novel in the worldddd

within the last few days i‘ve reread „the dare“ and i‘m now halfway through this and i gotta say, i always second guess myself when i catch myself doing this but! the thing is i didn‘t remember why i gave both of these a lukewarm three stars and it‘s obviously not dean or connor… but god these girls are not the greatest…

trust teddy hamilton, i‘ve listened to soooo many hours of his voice at this point and he honestly rarely ever gets it wrong

this might be the stupidest novel in this whole romance binge i‘ve read yet - this book is absolutely crawling with clichees and that‘s the least of it but hey. we move.

so far this is a pleasant surprise in terms of quality but also!! if someone‘s IRISES grow bigger ONE MORE TIME i might riot

listen i know i‘ve said this about 50 times now but PLEASE get an editor like i‘m clearly enjoying these books or i wouldn‘t still be reading but the amount of spelling errors/switching between tenses/incomplete sentences etc etc is flat out ridiculous

okay thank FUCK i dnf‘d the teddy/rhys book because i can barely take teddy in this one without wanting to smash things

there‘s already been like three completely inexplicable actions by these characters, also the term „cuddle snakes“ unprompted and one of the main characters leaving his house in purple crocs and shirtless. this is gonna take some SERIOUS mental acrobatics to get through

an editor!! please!! (dear god the spelling is making my inner teacher come out)
