Fun story! Astrid and Skyler were going to be friends, Zryan and Astrid were going to be a couple, there was going to be a battle to the death and the kingdom is losing power because of something going on with “the heart”. Everything else happened around these key points. Also, the baby dragon reminded me of the little Dragon in Forth wing. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

So there are MANY MANY characters and I could hardly keep up with who was who. The plot and world building are top notch but I should have started taking notes so I could have known when i should have surprised by the twists. I couldn’t grasp what was happening enough to care about the main cast. I liked Maggie but I feel like this could have been several books instead of one. Too much happening.

This was a very enjoyable read! Fast paced and exciting as we follow Wren on her introduction to The Uprising. Loved the development of the love triangle as well. I’m looking forward to book three!

Not a fan. A lot of white hate overall. Characters were really only one-sided and were either good or bad. I found the parts about languages interesting.

Jumping back into the story I remember why I flew through the first book. I know some people didn’t rate this very high, but I really enjoy the characters and the banter.

I’m trying it again.

Wow! This story was fast paced and kept me guessing until the end. I flew through this one since I couldn’t wait to see how it all turned out!

This book, though extremely long, was very well written and quite enjoyable.
