I did not enjoy this as much as the first in the series. Maevyth is very winey and Zevander is obsessed with her for who knows why. This was not a comfortable or fun read as most of it involved discussing Zevander as a slave and all the SA he endured. Naturally his character is shaped by that but both these main characters had me frustrated. And all the side characters, too much.
