I'm rereading this at least ten years after my first time. I've forgotten a whole lot. They're on their second *ahem* encounter and holy shit it is painful to read.

I alternately want to do nothing but read this and want to put off finishing it so it doesn't end, always a sign of a good book. I've both laughed out loud and had my heart clench because I've been there.

Oh great. The heroine is on the keto diet, and it features prominently. 🙄 Also I'm really fucking sick of cancer as a plot device. It seems very popular these days. Kind of ruins the whole "reading to avoid thinking about cancer" thing I'm trying to do
