Daniel - his brother, Charles, is very mean.
Natasha - is from Jamaica. Moved to USA when she was 8. Now her family is getting deported b/c her dad got a DUI. She goes to the immigration office to try to get someone to help her stay. Her ex boyfriend Rob cheated on her.
Daniel - has an interview with Yale. He doesn’t want to be a doctor but his family demands it. His brother flunked at Harvard and got suspended.

Daniel - older brother Charlie has been kicked out of Harvard for two months. His brother isn’t nice. Comes from a Korean family living in Flushing, NY.
Natasha - family is undocumented living in America. They are getting deported and are going to be leaving for Jamaica.
Irene- is the security officer at the immigration office. She is lonely and delays people at the front gate to have more interaction.

Cameron comes back home. Marco didn’t tell Avery but she and Cameron make up. Avery saved a girl from jumping off the pier who wound up being Daphne! To a doesn’t go to Charter Village and buys a condo. She and Ethan spend a lot of time together. Cameron got a better paying job with a contractor and is planning on going to college. Marcellus went down to see Erik’s wreckage and he passed. Such an amazing book!

Tova cleans the aquarium for the last time. Marcellus brings her the class ring and she sees that it’s Erik’s. Cameron is her grandson. Marcellus isn’t doing well. Tova grabs a bucket of his tank water to save him. Instead of taking him back to his tank she takes him out to the ocean! She thanks him for telling her about Cameron. There is no way she can go to Charter Village now.

Terry gets a new octopus because Marcellus is going to pass away and probably very soon! Cameron hadn’t shown up for work, so Terry called in Tova to do the nights cleaning. Cameron returns but he isn’t staying. He is leaving town without telling anyone. Tova is trying to stop him. He throws the EELS class ring in the tank with the wolf eels. Marcellus goes and gets the ring from the eels. They don’t attack.

Cameron meets Simon Brinks. He explains that he was best friends with his mother, but that he is not his father. Daphne didn’t tell him who the father was. Cameron is very upset and is starting to spiral. He tells himself that Sowell Bay isn’t his home and that he doesn’t belong there. Brad and Elizabeth have their son. Katie has moved on and is dating some new guy. Cameron looks up the route back to Modesto.

Ethan has to find a temporary manager for the store. Cameron is hurt that Ethan didn’t think about hiring him. Cameron doesn’t have any nice words to say to Ethan. Simon Brinks office calls him and sets up an appointment to meet with him. It’s at the same time of his date with Avery. He swings by the shop to explain but she isn’t there. He asks Marco, her son, to tell her he had to cancel.

Tova gives Ethan the shirt. He knows how much she paid for it. He apologizes for dinner and says he would give away any shirt to redo that night with her. Tova goes and signs the papers for the house. A married couple with three children have brought the house.

Tova finds Cameron’s drivers license where Marcellus left it. She finds out that his mother is the girl she is looking for, the one who Erik may have been seeing. His birthdate aligns with her theory and she begins to wonder if Cameron is her grandson. That would be a wonderful blessing to her. Cameron wonders too if Tova could be his grandmother but doesn’t see the physical connection.

Tova felt really bad for ruining Ethan’s concert shirt. She has Janice help her find one on EBay. They find one and Tova pays $2,000 for the shirt! While driving to pick up the shirt Charter Village calls asking her if she is ready to process her final deposit. She has them process it. So sad! I don’t want her to move.

Tova goes over to Ethan’s for dinner. He is going to tell her about Cameron’s mom. It’s really awkward between them at dinner. Cameron comes in upset. He found out that Ethan has been talking about his mom & is about to say so in front of Tova but Ethan pulls him out to the living room. Tova cleans the kitchen with an old shirt she finds and stains it. Ethan is so upset it’s a memento. He didn’t tell her.

Ethan knows the name Cassmore from somewhere. Then he remembers an old check made bad at the grocery store by a Daphne Cassmore. Ethan looks her up and through the ancestry he learns she was Cameron’s mom. Ethan has to tell Tova. He invites her over. Cameron pays Aunt Jeanne back. She tells him that leaving him was very hard on his mother just like Avery insinuated.

Elizabeth calls Cameron. She is on bed rest for a few weeks. He tells her how he is doing. No leads on the Simon Brinks front. He has been in Sowell for 2 months. He tells her about Avery. Terry needs a copy of his drivers license. Cameron leaves it on his desk. Marcellus takes it and hides it where only Tova will find it. She hasn’t been to the aquarium in a couple of nights though. Marcellus is close to dying.

Tova is cleaning out the attic getting ready to move out of the house. She is donating Erik’s toys from when he was a kid. She runs into Sandy, Adam Wrights lady friend. She tells Tova that Adam remembered the girl’s name that Erik was meeting the night he died. Her name was Daphne. Tova looks at the yearbook and there is only one Daphne, Daphne Cassmore, Cameron’s mom!

To a cannot stop thinking about this girl Erik was seeing that he wanted to impress the night he passed. She keeps thinking about it. Jessica calls with an offer on the house and Tova wants to take it. Cameron seems out of it that night working with Tova. He still hasn’t been able to find Simon Brinks.

Avery takes Cameron paddle boarding. He picks her up at her house and meets her son, Marco! Avery is 32. She had Marco when she was 17. Avery said she saved a woman from jumping off the pier one time. The water is rocky and the lady wanted to die. I’m wondering if it was Tova. Avery seems to really like Cameron. He seems to be doing a lot better being in Sowell. He still has his job.

Tova goes to Mary Ann’s goodbye luncheon. Adam Wright is there, the friend of Erik’s. He gets a little drunk and mentions the last time he saw Erik. It was that afternoon. They met up and Erik said he wanted to impress a girl by taking her to a cabin. Erik also stole some beer out of Tova’s fridge. Adam’s significant other, Sandy, drops the bomb that Tova has her house for sell!

Cameron and Avery have been spending time together. She owns the local paddle boarding shop in town. Ethan and Cameron go out to the address Cameron finds for Simon. They get there and it’s a bust. There is no house and no Simon there. Ethan tells Cameron about Tova’s son dying. Cameron knows Ethan likes Tova.

Tova is going to help Cameron and Marcellus become friends. Marcellus knows that Cameron and Tova are genetically related. They both have the same dimple, eye expressions, and same walk.

Marcellus got out again trying to escape the aquarium. Cameron intercepted and tried getting Marcellus back to his tank but he fell and hit his head. Tova came in and helped Marcellus and Cameron. She asked Cameron to watch out for Marcellus and to keep his secret of escaping from Terry. Cameron agreed. Cameron says a line from Hamlet that Tova’s son used to say. What if Cameron’s dad is Erik?!?!?

Tova runs errands to fill out the application for Charter Village. A realtor comes to look at the house. She goes to see Will’s burial plot and tells him she is selling the house. She stops by the store and tells Ethan she is filling out the application. He is so sad and upset. He invites her over for tea before she leaves. Tova stops by the aquarium planning on telling Marcellus her plan to move.

Cameron goes to a local real estate office to see if they know where to find Simon Brinks. The receptionist helps find an address for Simon. A pretty girl named Avery comes in to talk with the receptionist. Cameron thinks she is hot. He talks with her a little and she gives him her number. The airline calls and notify him that his bag is in Italy and he needs to contact their Europe department to get it back!

Tova is looking to sell her house. Her dad built the house and she grew up in it until her and Will moved in to care for her mother. Cameron gets a job at the aquarium with Ethan’s help. Terry doesn’t like him at first but does a favor for Ethan. Cameron is having a hard time finding Simon Brinks. Marcellus finds Cameron’s walk familiar but he isn’t sure from where. Marcellus misses Tova

Cameron’s trip to Sowell Bay isn’t going well. The camper is horrible. He pulls up to Simon Brinks office but it’s closed. He ends up at the grocery store’s deli. Ethan hooks him up with some food. Ethan doesn’t know Simon Brinks. Cameron returns to his camper to find he has a flat tire. Ethan comes to help.

Tova sprained her ankle and now has to be off of work for 6 weeks! She fell again at home and is thinking it is time for her to fill out the application for the old folks home, Charter Village. Mary Ann from the Knit Wits is moving in with her daughter in Seattle. Their club is down to 3 ladies.

Cameron’s trip to Sowell Bay isn’t starting well. The airline lost his bag that he had the jewelry in so now he has no money. He calls Aunt Jeanne and asks for money. She send him $2,000 dollars. He meets a man named Elliott who shares his sandwich with Cameron and offers to make a deal with his friend for a camper so Cameron can drive and camp up to Sowell Bay.

To a has taken in a stray cat, named Cat. At work she goes & sees Marcellus again. She steps on a stool so she can reach him. He holds her wrist. She tells him about Erik’s accident. He drowned on a small boat. The police say he did it himself because the anchor was a clean cut. She doesn’t understand cause he seemed happy. He was 18. They had a minor argument the same day. Tova slips and falls from the stool.

Cameron searches his mother’s class reunion social media page until he finds a picture of the guy, the one in the picture with his mom in high school. He finds him. The guy is named Simon Brinks. He lives in Seattle and is RICH! Cameron books a flight to go see this guy in hopes he will think Cameron is his son and give him lots of money. Cameron is a really big loser. How he connects with Tova?? Who knows!

Tova is starting to talk more with Marcellus. He seems to be talking back with her. He gave her, her house key she had lost last year. Marcellus had taken the key. He had saw the same one on a key ring at the bottom of the sea when he was younger. It was with a shoe, a shirt, and some other human things. Marcellus thinks they belonged to Tova’s son.

Ethan waits while Tova goes through Lars things at Charter Village. When she returns she has a box of her brother’s belongings and an APPLICATION!! Cameron goes through the box of his mother’s belongings Aunt Jeanne gave him. There isn’t much in it but he does find a picture of his mom in high school next to a man he has never seen before.
