Margaret, from the farm over, came by when Roe noticed someone was prowling around outside the windows. They were talking about Regina and wondered if she was a surrogate for someone for money. Dennis and Cindy found Rory and brought him to the farm. Karl also comes by but Margaret notices that he doesn’t have a vehicle parked. Rory grabs some money he stowed away in Hayden’s crib. Regina is still missing.

The wife and husband at the next farm over come to introduce themselves. Luke and Margaret Granberry. Something feels off with them. They didn’t know Regina was pregnant either! It snowed. Martin calls a friend who can give them a car to drive in the snow. Karl Bagosian. He’s a childhood friend of Martins. Martin drives Karl back into town. Roe goes out in the snow and notices that someone was spying on them!

Shondra knew Regina was pregnant but never saw her. Rory told her the same story about her giving birth with a midwife. They left and went out to the farm. Regina and Craig actually had some baby things set up. Dylan comes by the farm but wasn’t able to get a hold of Rory to bring him along. He obviously knows more. Dylan is upset they let Rory go and didn’t turn him in. Dylan thinks Regina killed Craig.

They didn’t know Regina was pregnant or that they had a child. They go by Cindy’s (Martin’s ex wife) flower shop. Her boyfriend, Dennis Stinson is there. They haven’t seen Regina in a few months. Cindy shares that the girl lets Craig’s crimes slide by. They go visit Craig’s brother, Dylan, next. Dylan wasn’t home but his wife, Shondra, was. She is Rory’s sister! He was there but left!

The 4 started on their way back to Ohio. Martin and Roe are trying to get info on the baby from Rory on the drive but his answers are vague and not forthcoming. They get to Ohio and drop Rory off at home. Then they go see Craig’s aunt and uncle who took him and his brother in after their parents died. Their place is messy and Hugh Harbor isn’t in good health. They can’t leave Hayden with these people.

Sally came to the house and told Roe they found Regina’s car. Their neighbor, Clement, saw a red car leaving Roe’s house with a male driver and female passenger. Sounds like it was Regina. In her suitcase was only clothes for herself. She didn’t pack any clothes for the baby. Angel stops by and goes into labor! Martin tells Roe that Regina and Craig have been living in the farm house in Ohio Roe got for him.

Rory is surprised to learn that Craig is dead. Rory and Craig have been friends since they were little. Craig’s parents died and he moved in with his Aunt and Uncle. Martin called his ex,Cindy, to see if she knows anything about the situation. She didn’t. Rory says they were in jail together for some bad checks Craig wrote. They are going to take the baby to Craig’s aunt & uncle. Roe finds $500 in the baby bag

Roe and Martin awake the next morning still trying to figure out what happened the night before. Rose is caring for the baby when a man appears from behind the couch! His name is Rory Brown. He came with Craig. They are best friends. Craig just got out of jail and came to find Regina! Rory wasn’t feeling well after stopping at the local fast station. He was so tired he crashed on the couch.

Roe and Martin go to dinner at the mayor’s house. The wife, Ellen Lowry, was acting strange. Both had weird reactions when Roe told them about Darius being drugged. Another incident happened with a woman being drugged in town too. When they got home Regina was gone and her car but the baby was left along with her husband Craig was there dead! Roe now has to care for baby Hayden.

Darius, a townsfolk, delivered wood to Roe’s house. He started acting strangely and undressing! The police came and someone had drugged him! Martin’s niece, Regina, shows up unannounced with her baby boy, Hayden. Her husband, Craig, isn’t with her and she drove all the way from Ohio by herself! Her mother is Barby. She is staying with them it seems. Angel and Shelby had moved out 8 weeks ago.

Poppy goes to therapy to figure out why she is in a funk with life, work, and of course Alex. She learns that she runs away from all the troubles. She can’t keep running away. She goes back home and finds Alex. Tells him that she wants him and she will give up anything to be with him. He doesn’t want her to have to give up anything. He wants them just to work. To make sense being together but they don’t.

Two summers ago: Croatia. The photographer they traveled with for R & R is older and stays with them the entire trip. The last day they get drunk. The old guy passed out and they finally have time together. Alex kisses Poppy. Things get heated but he stops and apologizes. Trey and Poppy broke up and Alex and Sarah did the same. They are single but he freaks out that he ruined their friendship. 2 years silence after.

This summer. David’s wedding goes well. Poppy and Alex have a good time. They wake up late the next morning and have to dash to the airport. While saying goodbye Poppy clears the air about R & R not sponsoring their vacation. When Poppy tries to explain she makes it sound like this vacation was a break from her real life. Alex gets upset. Says he would do anything for her but she needs to figure out what she wants

Alex and Poppy don’t talk about what happened between them at first but then they do. They aren’t just moving on as if nothing happened. They go to David’s bachelor party holding hands. He tells Poppy that Alex was going to marry Sarah but then they broke up. Poppy asks him about it and he broke up with her because he wants to be with Poppy. He wanted to marry Poppy. They have loved one another from the start.

Three summers ago they went to Tuscany on a couples trip! Alex and Sarah, and Poppy and Trey. Trey and Poppy seem pretty serious. He likes her family. Trey is a photographer for R & R. Overall they had a good trip other than Poppy thinking she was pregnant! Alex caught her taking a test. It was negative. They never talked about what happened again.

Alex and Poppy are intimate. Nikolai comes and tells them the AC for the entire wing of the apartments isn’t working and refunds them for the entire three days. They go find a hotel. Alex isn’t talking about what happened and falls asleep. Poppy sleeps in the other bed.

Four summers ago they were supposed to go to Sweden but Poppy got really sick. She told Alex to go and she would meet up but he came to New York instead and took care of her. Poppy had pneumonia!

Alex & Poppy try to go to the pool when they get back to the apartment after a long day of everything going badly. The pool is empty! Had to be drained. The air isn’t working in the room! Alex loses it! Poppy says this isn’t how things are supposed to go. They should be how they used to be but Alex yells that things have changed. Poppy says she doesn’t want to lose him. Alex raps her up and they kiss!

Five summers ago: Sanibel Island. Alex is so depressed because Sarah broke up with him cause he is boring. Poppy tries to cheer him up but it’s not really working. While on that trip, Poppy for the first time feels that she is in love with Alex. The rain poured so hard Alex asked to go somewhere cold next trip.

Palm Springs is so hot and Alex isn’t feeling well. Poppy is so upset and is trying so hard to make it a great day. After the zoo they went to a dinosaur museum that was awful. Then in their way back to the apartment, they got a flat tire. Things are still not going well.

Vail trip: Alex calls Sarah twice a day but doesn’t talk in front of Poppy. They are having a great time. They connect with Lita from their trip to Canada at Buck’s place. She lives in Vail now and is a river rafting guide. They go on a beginner’s guide with her. On the second to last day while hiking Poppy rolls her ankle and Alex carries her down the mountain! Why don’t these characters say how they feel!

It’s the last day that Alex and Poppy have to themselves. They shared the bed to help Alex’s back. They woke up next to each other, touching. Poppy’s feelings are getting stronger. She wants this to be the best day to salvage their friendship and make Alex never want to go 2 years without talking again. They go to the zoo but Alex gets dizzy and doesn’t feel good in the heat.

Six summers ago: Vail, Colorado. Guillermo dumped Poppy after meeting her family. They are loud, hoard everything, and have colorful personalities. Not for everyone. They had been living together so Poppy moving out was financially and emotionally hard. Alex has been dating Sarah for 9 months. She doesn’t seem to like Poppy. A vacation doesn’t seem likely until Poppy is offered a free stay at a hotel in Vail.

Current summer: Poppy helps Alex edit his Tender account. They argue about the kind of girls Alex likes and goes for. Poppy doesn’t like that they are sweet girls but boring. He wouldn’t ever go for someone like her. But Alex looks at her Tender account and says he would. Poppy blushes and again has feelings she ignores. She is glad his back went out or who knows what would have happened next. Probably NOTHING!

7 summers ago they went to New Orleans. Poppy has moved to New York. She doesn’t get to see Alex as much. Poppy is dating a chef named Guillermo. She met him while dining with Rachel at one of her places for her social media account. Poppy and Alex have another great vacation full of times where she has feelings for him but doesn’t say anything.

Alex throws his back out. Poppy takes care of Alex and she enjoys it. Alex tells Poppy to go out still without him so she can still enjoy her day. She goes to the art museum and some thrift stores but it’s not the same without Alex. She goes back to Alex and they decide to watch something on his laptop. When she opens it up she sees an application for him to teach in NY! But Alex isn’t sure he wants to move.

8 summers ago. Poppy has dropped out of school and is working as a bartender. She is dating a guy named Julian. He is an artist. Alex doesn’t like him. Feels that Poppy deserves more. They go on their next trip to San Fran. They go wine tasting and explore the city. They are celebrating Alex graduating. She falls asleep next to him. Poppy once again has feelings for Alex but doesn’t say anything.

The Palm Springs trip is still pretty bad. The air conditioning still isn’t working. There are awkward moments between them. Like when Alex tells Poppy he started living in his grandma’s house after she passed. Poppy is so sad. During this trip Poppy keeps having feelings for Alex and feeling attracted to him. She won’t say anything and keeps pretending like it’s nothing.

Their second trip is to Nashville. They didn’t have enough money for Paris. Alex had to help his brother with tuition. Alex’s mom died after giving birth to his brother David. Alex is the oldest and takes care of everyone. Even his dad. Alex is not a virgin but Poppy is. Poppy has her first thought of kissing Alex during this trip! But she pushes it down.

This vacation in Palm Springs is not going as well. It’s really hot, the air conditioner isn’t working, and the pool is packed. Poppy keeps getting rushes of feelings for Alex. It is all because of their previous trip in Croatia that we still don’t know about!!
