This book has a bizarre obsession with covid (masks, vaccines, elbow handshakes mentioned constantly). There is a nice authors note explaining why this is important to him, but overall it takes you out of the story and is just sooooo overkill- multiple characters introduce themselves by name followed by the brand of vaccine they had???

At the part where the actual prince tries to garner sympathy for being too dumb for the classes at the school he got into because his “ancestor” founded it and for not fitting in socially because he’s whiny and not like other boys …. there’s plenty to feel bad for him about in this book but this ain’t it 😅
