Excerpt from page 151:

I told you once:
“I’d hate to write a heartbreak poem
about you one day.”
You got angry and said:
“That will never happen.
I already promised you that I will never walk away.”
But here I am,
writing pages and chapters
to cleanse my soul of the pain
that you promised to protect me from.

Already 50 pages in and I wonder why didn’t I read this book way earlier???

But then I remembered that every book is meant to meet me at the right place, at the right time and at the perfect moment.

This book seems short and simple but it’s heavy for me. I might take a longer time to finish this. I feel so uncomfortable during my reading experience (so far)

Now, this book, I will continue later. Perhaps for another anticipated long holiday? Who knows?

What a weird book

I’ve been enjoying the narrative so far. It’s great that I can immerse myself within the narrator’s POV and distracted with her story
