Ok, this one might convince me Connelly can write as well as tell a story. I will say the book version…it’s quite possibly better than the TV version of this particular storyline!

This silly book is for people who have aspirations to become the next multimillionaire; worse, this book/author provides zero structure on the how and only has glossy, useless stories and pointless 'charts' that not help the author's point. This Ladder theory is purely theoretical and unrealistic for the average EVERYBODY. How does this book have such a high rating???? It's one of the worst financial books out there!

Level 2 - go back to school since you can afford it now (seriously?)
Level 3 - invest (yeah, duh) & get a side hustle (what else is new)
Level 4 - start or join a business (ok, surrreee! Even tho most will never reach this level)

Concept is fine, but the actual structure is very flimsy. The Levels are set far too much apart with very little ability to improve from $10 to $100K, the latter which can take YEARS if not decades for most. There is no incentive to continue up the 'ladder' in this plan.

Plot i and writing is a bit clunky and awkward…but I am intrigued!

I think for beginner vegans, this is a decent entry. It's a bit cumbersome in general as it's a huge and very heavy book. A lot of very similar recipes with the same flavor profiles. Honestly, you could forgo this book and just watch her Youtube videos or read her blogs for recipes. This book doesn't feel all that necessary and it's not organized very well.

DNF. This is one of SK's worst books. No backstory, nothing but all King's wet dreams laid out i dull dialogue. Very disappointing.

We’re still in the setup phase of the plot…🙂‍↕️ at least it’s well written, but it is a bit dull..,

Well, I’ll be stuck at level three for the next several decades in my life since I’ll never have $1 million…

So many recipes are so similar with the same flavor profiles or ingredients you have to make before or aren't readily available or you'd never use outside this book. Some of the brunch recipes are rather common vegan ones so nothing surprising. If you don't like Indian food at all, you won' like this at all.

I wish I knew what the whole point of The Long Walk is… other than to make money if you’re the loan survivor and, it does not feel dystopian at all. It’s actually kind of boring with too many characters in the first chapter alone.

Hmm, the more we get into the book, the more complex the recipes get, which is fine, but it's like, refer to X, Y, Z page for this recipe so you have all the pre-ingredients already made... Pass.

Hmm, more of history of Buddhism rather than a teaching tool. While the scientific/technical element added to this book is interesting, not what I was expecting.
