Ok, starting to get into it…

I get that Lennon needs to grow up, learn, and grow into her own confidence, but this meandering of her always making poor, senseless choices is getting old. She's a messed up and misunderstood but very, very special person--I get it. Can we move on to an actual plot now...?

I find Dante so lacking so far… 🫥

A bit anti-climatic, after the reveal and also predictable. Somehow, Brown made a nearly 500 page book not seem as long, long-winded, and full of filler. Which is a miracle in and of itself. Ultimately, I was usually entertained but didn't quite hit the mark. Or I'm just not that dazzled by the Robert Langdon formula anymore.

This plot is a very heavy handed. Not something I noticed in the Da Vinci Code…though that book was half the size of this one.

M.E.'s 'letters' are the WORST. The execution of this letter style is very disruptive and very hard to follow. Also, somehow very boring. Am getting zero good vibes from this book.

Sorry, but putting an entire narrative/scene with dialogue and a writer 'recounting' everything in letter form is just...senseless. No one is going to to write a letter like a chapter in a book.

This letter/diary/newspaper/whatever is very tricky, and so far this entire set up is a bit confusing, though it does feel intentional. However, I’m kind of bored and mostly confused.
