Pray kind towns people. I’m about to throw this book into a fire and burn it. I’m going to strangle this Molly character and this doctor.

This is reading like a middle grade ghost story..

But whether you shift the blame onto God, a judge or a jury, when a person is executed by the state, the official manner of death on their certificate reads “homicide”.

I never even thought what happens to bodies after a tragedy. What happens to people who die in a plane crash, in a mass casualty, or who die in open water. Which is sad now that I never even thought about who deals with that and ID’s the bodies so loved ones can find peace.

I can already tell this is a book I’ll recommend to everyone. Especially if you fear dying or things of similar nature like I do.

“When did we forget that pain is a warning, a scream from the voiceless parts of our bodies saying it needs help, something is wrong, something requires our attention.”

I just finished the original like last week. Then Netflix puts an adaptation with Jonathan Bailey up. So I drop everything to listen to it. This will be a very Dracula themed month. With all the audiobooks played and then I’m seeing the ballet performance. 😌

87 pages in and so far it’s not capturing my attention. All I’ve learned is one couples adventurous sex life and another lack of sex. Absolutely riveting information

Two pages in and there’s already mention of dogs and cats dying. Not sure if I’ll be able to read this lol

Animals have virus fatal to humans. Humans decide to eat other humans instead. Should be an interesting time…..

Can I already say…don’t read this during fall. You need to read this during winter months. It’s incredibly atmospheric and makes me crave a snowy hotel stay.

Nothing like reading about demonic possession and a breeze causes your door to slam shut. Never jumped so high in my life.

I received an ARC of this and I’m eating it up. It’s so cozy and the perfect fall read.

The audiobook is narrated by Dan Steven’s. He does a phenomenal job 😌

Next annual favorite reread. Frankenstein is just perfection to my dark scientific academia heart.

I love this book. I’m almost finished and I want to read it again. lol I do have another vampire book lined up after hehe. 🧛🏻‍♂️

I think what I love most from this book. Is all the POV you get and to see how each one encounters Dracula. You get Johnathan, Mina, Lucy, the boat workers(which this will always terrify me. Being trapped on board in the middle of the ocean with something terrifying), the Renfield, and so many more. It just makes the book even creepier.

Time for my annual reread of my favorite classic horror. Happy first day of fall

I love Brom’s writing! His story telling skills are wonderfully done and just overall very immersive.

Uncle Dan. 😭 I never expected this book to make me tear up and be so emotional.

I didn’t know this was a movie! I can’t wait for my Stephen King movie marathon.

I’m really enjoying this book. The only issue right now is the repetitiveness of “my dad worked at the overlook hotel” babe we know. You don’t have to remind us every 15 pages.

It is sad to see how Danny ended up and the effect “the shining” had on him. While also taking into account his father’s struggle with alcohol and the effect it had on Danny as an adult.
