Overall this was a great book, I just did not like the ending . They had to keep the algorithm safe, instead of destroy it, which means someone else could take it over again. I'm just glad Zero ended up staying somewhat alive.

The way the author puts hidden meaning to his words was a very intricate way to write dialogue. It's not till I read the whole book that I realized it had foreshadowed his ending.

It's not till I read the whole drama, that I realized there were signs in the characters foretelling the ending of this book. I thought that was a very intricate way to put hidden quotes that would foreshadow the ending in a play/drama.

The crescent moon shown drawn on people's chests is a Nature Archetype. In context, Ana is in the Iron Shrine with other ladies as they honor a goddess she doesn't believe in. As the crescent moon represents change and transition the reader is shown the importance of the symbol in regards to the goddess. People must pay respects to the goddess for the change they want in their lives.

Seen throughout the book is Celaena representing the fierce female warrior who has to overcome the fight of the champions to earn her place and her freedom, in a world (man dominant) by a cruel king. Set in a time where the kingdom is strictly patriarchal, she has to prove herself worthy. I think this story represents the struggle many women have today in the face of men with abusive power.

"Marxist/Feminist view:
- The first character seen is a guy who's family thinks they have the responsibility to rid the world of people. Creating a class of people who think they know better. While the unsuspecting person does not get to decide their own fate.
- The guy smiles and it seems to make the problems go away where the girl cries and a storm comes in.
-The guy knows all and the girl is unsuspecting.
