This feels like a less sci fi Frankenstein, with the constant threat of revenge and a spooky lil wedding

I can’t read horror before bed; I need something wholesome. My blood pressure too high… I’m scared. Unfortunately I’m reading a Christmas horror book so all this imagery is still scary to me. Oh god when will it stop?

This is a very fun text to read simultaneously with the crucible. Enjoying the build up thus far. Reviewers called it a Puritan version of Carrie and I can’t wait for it to get there.

To clarify, Mary pat is not a good person but I appreciate her characterization and I love her being a literary Liam Kneeson (Nissan).

Mary Pat is one of my favorite literary characters in recent years.

Already in a much better headspace and loving this compared to when I was a high schooler reading this. I would really love a book of just orleanna’s pov (I like them all but really love hers).

Yeah I hate the seasonal nostalgia hitting early and yeah I hate this method of satisfying it. Whatever, man. Idk.

This will be the first book in a long time that I don't finish. It's a lil too cutesy and corny for my particular tastes. I ended up liking another of Klune's books but I just am feeling too cynical at the moment to push through and try to get their with this. God, that lil vacuum is annoying.

It’s time for me to stop reading the frivolous droll created to satiate the dumb, ignorant masses and to prevent them from realizing the inadequacies of their lives. It’s time for real art.
