I enjoy how Doug sets up drama without the sense of hopelessness found in too many contemporary stories.

Wow. This makes me think a lot about my own experiences.

How often must we hear that you have to "promote" without being told how?!?!? This is telling me that anyone with a full-time job may as well give up! I'm about to give up on this book.

Such the pity that this book, which still betrays its originally intended title, "Why I Am A Calvinist," was chosen to take the place of a decent book with its title. I'm honestly getting tired of the sickening notion that one must be a Calvinist or Arminian.

I think I'm done with this for now. This is NOT leadinf me down the road I want to go.

I don't like the current chapter at all. Too many matter-of-fact "just so" setups appear. Election must be the case, the authors repeat, because … well, because it is. The only alternative is thrown aside with little more than a wave, as if it's obviously trash. While its Calvinist counterpart had its own pages of a similar vein, the authors of that title at least took the time to dig more deeply.
