I’m looking forward to the enemies-to-lovers developing. But I am a nitpicky asshole: they’re in a village on a loch on the west coast of Scotland, and the castle has a view of… the North Sea. Which is off the east coast of Scotland. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh my god, I’m barely into this and it’s already offensively lazy and wrong when it comes to Hawaiian stuff. I’m guessing they didn’t have anyone who knows anything about the Hawaiian language or pidgin proofread this.

Kama’āina means local, and Patterson tells you in narration that it means the exact opposite.

I’ve made a huge mistake. I read too much of this while laying in bed in the dark. 😬

I’m enjoying this a lot, but… there’s something bothering me that I hope is addressed. SPOILERS!

SPOILER: So if Clover went missing twenty-odd years before, why are the social workers acting like they don’t know that?? Wouldn’t that be in police records? But they’re acting like she was only missing a couple of days, and that makes no damn sense.
