Ok, THIS scene I remember. Clearly I was listening to this as I was working so not all of it seeped into my forebrain. Lol

Apparently I've read this before exactly two years ago, but I have no memory of it. So does it deserve the 4 star rating that I gave it?

I'll be honest. I don't really follow much hip-hop, but I really enjoy 50's interviews. So far, I'm really digging this. It's not all flex, like one might think. It's full of introspection on the decisions he's made in his career, both the wins and the losses.

I'm definitely digging these dramatized readings. I had a feeling that I would. The 1st book is usually a rough start.

This book is so full of ick and cringe. Even the phrasing of Cathy's inner thoughts, and the descriptions are cringe worthy. I think that it's meant to show that no matter what obstacles they've manage to surpass, or what successes they might have achieved in life, that they still carry all the accumulated generational sins, abuses, and traumas that come with being a Foxworth.

Man, this is terrible. The lore and the base story line are pretty interesting. The dialogue and the action are cringeworthy. I kinda want to keep reading to see how things work out, but I don't know that I can take much more.

Revisiting a favorite series in audio form.

Turns out I've read this before; borrowed it from the library. While I remember enjoying the story, I remember almost nothing of it other than it starts out in a B&B. No point in rereading it, since I don't intend read the rest of the series at this time.

I think my mistake might be on assuming this was YA.

Lots of swearing and inventive use of language. Swearing was a bit of a shock, but sometimes the combinations crack me up. The inventive use of language by a street wise young miss is quite entertaining.

Boy, this letter sounds like a load of hooey! Princess dumbo is likely to eat it up with a spoon.

GD that Princess is an idiot! I have to wonder what the author was thinking when she created this character. Willful twit? Entitled and out of touch with reality? If that was the goal then she got it bang on! I still despise the character though.

Nearly halfway through, but I'm not liking most of the characters. The story itself is an intriguing tangle of legendary elements, but most of the would be heros frequently make you want to throttle them.

Second read through. Tim Curry is narrating the audio book. I can listen while I work from home--thank you pandemic. Plus TIM FREAKIN' CURRY!!!!!

Been meaning to reread this seriesfor a while now. Even bought digital copies because I wasn't sure where my paperbacks had gone. But now to find out Tim Curry is the narrator for the audio version? Hot damn! I'll probably end up buying these too.😬😍
