2 hours left in this audiobook and she is STILL referring to the MMC as Mike Martin.

OMG!!! If the FMC calls the MMC by his full name one more time….

Honey, you need better betas, or a better editor, I cannot BELIEVE that this got through. It’s annoying and literally pulls me out of the story every time now.

If it was not for the narrators (looking at you Mr. Jackson) I would DNF this book right now.

I don’t believe I will ever try another book by this author. I’m raging right now.

I agree with the other reviewer, this author used Mike Martin WAY WAY too much.

I’ll finish the book because I bought it on audio, it’s duet narration (yay!) and I paid for it, but it’s likely I’ll never try this author again.

I’m really struggling with this one as the FMC is only 16. Just can’t …. I’ll push through, but not feeling this one.

Um, the last name for the MMC changed between book 1 and book. It was Cavanaugh in the first book, but it’s Harris now.

So I’m listening to the audio and I have to say, if you’re going to write in first person, write in first person. Don’t bounce between 3rd person and first person.

All the chapters from Shayla’s view are first person and all the ones from Zack’s are 3rd person. It pulls me out of the story and has completely ruined this one for me. All the other books were first person.

Enjoying these stories, but really this author needs to get more creative with her wording. She LOVES the phrase ‘to a close’. Doors slide to a close, eyes swim, drift, flutter, To a close. And it’s use SO often through the 4 books that it’s started to pull me out of the story. It’s also awkward to use in some instances. Uggh!!
