It is so infuriating to see Abigail being snatched away from Madeline even as I know that's not the right expression to be used here but wow I'd be beyond myself if the kid I brought up all on MY OWN suddenly started to be this ungrateful selfish brat the moment her FATHER WHO ABANDONED HER entered the picture; Madeline is being too graceful. I'm sorry but lol. It's sort of funny how these parents' conversations revolve around their kids sm like wow Amabella's fifth birthday party is the talk around the town and into these people's wind down time, too apparently

101 pages in and it is sorta boring, sorta moving a little slow for my taste but sentences like this keep me going: Bonnie materialized by his side, smiling beatifically. She was always smiling beatifically. Madeline suspected drugs. gold, seriously. Madeline is so hilarious in her tone it is delightful to see, although I wouldn't be so mad if we moved things along a little!

Not having a good time at all. So predictable. No sort of tension in the plot at all. Iwan and her talking that much and that well knowing eo not even for 24 hours is bizarre to me these people would be so easy to kill. Fuck and I know everything at this point like. EVERYTHING. Ashley may not be for me, I'm guessing. I see the potential but the actual romance and banter ends up being sort of trying too hard.

I LOVE Madeline, gosh!!!! Bitchy gossipy characters are so fun like let women be mean!!!!!!!!! So down w the writing style and the characters and the seamless transition of the POV bw our three main characters!!!!!!!!!!! Storygraph, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may owe you my life by the end of this I have such a strong feeling w this one :D !!!!

Listening to the audiobook ^^ thoughts have loaded already. I love her aunt because I love whimsical larger than life free-spirited characters (esp women♡). Ashley Poston has this way of writing where you are reassured right away that the story is gna end happily, with love and grief and everything to do with it and it is a comforting weight, despite the dread the premise may evoke inside you ❤️
