Tracee - LN > Recent Status Updates

Despite the title, this is not Christian fiction!
Now that’s out of the way, I enjoyed this book!
I enjoyed reading about Aaliyah’s challenges and growth to live her life on her own terms. Some parts were predictable, but it didn’t distract from the storytelling.

I am attempting to read/listen to this book, AGAIN. Ugh... Listen, I try to give books a chance because I work at a public library. So far, it's too slow and the characters are really unlikable. I have recently skipped to the end of my audiobook but later returned it because I couldn't bear to hear another word. Yet, I checked out the book, again, to fill in what I missed; I doubt I will be impressed, though.

I'm still listening to the book; my thoughts might change later as I continue to listen. I have experienced many different emotions. Initially, because of the hype, I had high hopes. I was so-so with Floyd's chapter and was at a complete no with Six's. Now, I am beginning to understand why Hattie's behavior, and sadly, see this familiarity in my own family; the womanizing husband and wife; all those kids...
