I last read this in 2008. I didn't remember any of this about Jane's childhood at all. 16% in and she's still in school. But I like her anger rather than docile acceptance

We just finished chapter 5 and both the boys I'm reading this to were begging for one more chapter. That includes the kid who was pissed off originally that he was being forced to sit and be in the room while we read. This book always wins em over!
