This is short, quirky, funny, and oh so charming! A great little bookish palate cleanser, I can’t help but give this 5⭐️

Cute and light; really liked it!

3.5 ⭐️. This was an interesting read for me. I liked the writing overall, but it was on the sad side for me; it showed the reality of how ppl (mainly our families) are affected by our (in this case mostly poor) choices. There were also a couple random storylines and characters thrown in at the end that didn’t seem to fit.
I think this would make a great book club pick though!

4.5⭐️ Boy, I messed up not stealing this from my friend at our BC white elephant book exchange! 😅. I could round up or down on this, but I’m gonna go up cuz I loved the writing, the cover is beautiful, and this book just came at the perfect time for me. I looked forward to reading it every time! It was a very sweet heartfelt book of second chances that also had depth and meaning!

DNF’ ing at 33%. It’s fine. I’m just bored and don’t really care. 🫣

Cute, sweet (literally), heartwarming easy read! Good on audio. 🍰

4.5 sad ⭐️’s. I’m gonna round down, maybe because of the heaviness of the content, but boy, this one got me 😭. It was VERY good, and why I love historical fiction so much! ❤️
