Didn't read the authors other series, but this is a stand-alone, so it is easier to give the author a chance via this way. I like the writing until now

Those are some heavy poems. I recognize that they are well written, but their meaning is not always clear to me. I do understand they all have a depressing undertone...

It's a really interesting but depressing story
