Yeah, this is more my vibe than the 🌶️ monsterfuckers.

I tried the “Monsterf*cker” romances, but they didn’t click. I think I worried about worldbuilding too much.

I know how social media and hospitals work, so with this I can just delve into the dysfunctional relationship and smut.

Liking it so far.

So yeah, I seem to have entered my “Unhinged Monsterfucker Romance” era.

as someone who has been a lifelong reader fantasy and Science Fiction, I’m finding it interesting how much I’m into this book. Which may be one of the least fantastic stories. I have read in a while.
Yes, I’ve seen the movie, yes, we’re talking about an authenticating a book that is possibly co authored by Satan.
But overall it’s just got a very detective story vibe to it and I’m digging it

I find that I’m enjoying the bookish, bibliographic catalog details of the texts Corso comes across. I kinda like a protagonist sitting at a computer and compiling notes on a project, it seems.

I’ve been think my about the movie “The Ninth Gate”, but fuck Polanski. So I decided to
give the book it was based on a try.

I’m loving the weirdness of JV’s vision. From how much original Dungeons and Dragons relied on JV’s magic system, to the fact that Dr Frank N Furter making a vat-grown being would 100% fit in.

Weird fantasy at its best. So much of early Dungeons and Dragons magic comes from JV. Shout out to “Prismatic Spray”.

In the far future, under the red sky of the titular Dying Sun, wizards grow Rocky Horror creatures in vats and fight over forgotten magic. Very “Thundarr the Barbarian” for us 80s kids
