I tried to give this book a chance, having liked the first one, but I couldn't get to liking the FMC, and considering Mak was supposed to be a Bratva boss, the whole thing - as far as I got anyway - was kind of tame. I also didn't like the fact that she knew he was Andi's father and didn't want to tell him, that was just a sh*t move really.

Struggling with this read. Usually, a book this long would only take me a couple of days to get through, but I'm finding the whole thing, even this far in, is just dragging, but I'm determined...somehow...to get to the end.

I don't normally have trouble with third person POV books, they're not my usual choice. However, I struggled walthoughith this one as the story was just slow, and I got tired of the characters being or feeling a bit flat, and almost too 'perfect'.

Am I the only one that doesn't like Ally so much in this book? She leads Dan on way too much, and honestly, he should tell her to take a hike. I keep eye-rolling at the age old argument that 'it's wrong because we're family' that she keeps bringing up but...news flash, you're not related by blood, so it's NOT WRONG!!

DNF - I couldn't connect with the story and there just seemed to be too much filler, pointless stuff that the author could have removed, just to make the book a bit longer.

I don't think I've laughed so much at an FMC and her reaction to things for a long while. So far, I actually love this book, can't wait to finish it and start on the rest of the series. I didn't think DD/lg with regression like this would be for me, but I can understand why some people like it, with the rules and stability it brings with it.

DNF @ 20%. I just couldn't connect with the characters. It felt like the connection between them was rushed, like he was already starting to fall for her, and even though I was trying to stick with the story, I felt like I couldn't continue without that connection to the characters.
