I am 8 min into this book and all I can do is stare incredulously at the vast openness of the sky above me and wonder how on a spinning rock in a universe of spinning rocks, this is the one where life miraculously formed out of nothing, and over the course of millions of years and millions of small miracles, the human race evolved, and then one of the humans chose to use their miraculously evolved brain to write this

I feel like the ending of this book is going to put me in a really bad mood, which is shame because I’ve spent the entirety of April reading it.
