I’ve loved most of the author’s other works, but this one felt a little too much like his Bramoria series (which I also did not finish) I’m not a fan of random, grueling adventures with no humor or levity. This series is just one soul crushing encounter after another. Going back to his Widdershins Academy books. I LOVE those.
