This is my first book by Abby Jimenez, and I'm already hooked!

Many of the books on my DNF shelf are actually categorized as soft DNFs, and I've created a separate shelf for them. I'll be reorganizing a few books, and I hope to avoid flooding your feeds during the process. 🤞

This is my second time picking up this book, and even though I've gotten a bit further, I'm not really enjoying it. Does it get better, or should I just give up to avoid wasting more time?

I appreciate all the recommendations for this book, as many people seem to adore it, but unfortunately, it hasn't resonated with me. The writing style isn’t quite my preference, and I haven’t formed a strong connection with the characters or the story. Reading it has felt more like a chore than a pleasure, and I'm disappointed that I can’t share the same enthusiasm that others do.

I’m having mixed feelings about this. The writing style isn’t quite resonating with me, and I find myself only mildly engaged with the story so far. Perhaps I should give it a few more chapters to see if it picks up?

This book is thoroughly engaging and unnervingly creepy! However, it’s getting dark outside, and I can’t help but feel a bit spooked, haha. To make matters worse, my cat has decided to abandon me!

I'm finally fully invested in this series, but my heart still aches with a longing for Sam. I can't help but still wish for Sam. I know it's not fair to want Celaena with anyone but him, especially since he's gone, but the memories of their connection still linger 😭

Only 5% in and I'm already questioning whether it's worth continuing. I'm finding it hard to muster up enthusiasm for the characters and story. The pressure of a library deadline is making me feel like I'm racing against the clock. The months-long wait since August for my hold to arrive only makes it harder to justify dropping it now, but part of me is wondering if it's already too late to invest in this story.

As much as I am enjoying the mystery, I'm also struggling to get through this 😥 I'm tempted to DNF the series and google the ending.

Is it worth continuing?

Decided to give Percy Jackson another chance and I'm invested into the story now <3

Was not expecting that revelation about Celaena 🤯

I don't know why I didn't realise that this was a childrens book. To be honest, I had never heard of this book until the movie came out.

I'm contemplating DNFing but I'll see how I continue since it's quite a short book 😊

So close to DNF'ing this book.

The start of the book was interesting and it had me hooked right from the beginning but ever since the 45% mark it's been mostly sex, sex, sex and hardly any story.

Does this get any better or should I DNF?

Decided to reread the Twilight series 💖
